Formal financial plans are generally quite tedious to work on because they cannot translate easily from the back-of-the-napkin plan to a formal plan. For investor presentations, these are generally detailed projections comprising of Income Statements, Cashflow Statements, Balance Sheet, Key Ratios, etc. These numbers cannot be pulled out of a hat because the plan needs to withstand scrutiny by professionals. Often, a financial plan will be assigned a little more weightage in an investors’’ decision.
